Welcome to Apex Hour.
Thank you for joining us at the beginning of this journey. We’re proud to launch in time for Monaco — where racing dreams meet Riviera sunsets and the magic of Formula One comes alive. Apex Hour is new, growing quickly, and built by fans who believe race weekends are about more than what happens on track. More stories, more guides, more destinations, and much more are still to come.

DRIVER PROFILE OF THE WEEKEND

Charles Leclerc- Monaco's Golden Boy

Many drivers reside in Monaco, no others currently on the grid were born there. Charles Leclerc didn’t just grow up around Formula One — he grew up inside it. Long before he was racing for Ferrari, he was a kid running around the harbor, looking out over the same streets that would one day chant his name.

Monaco shaped Charles in unusual ways. The narrow roads, steep stairways, luxury yachts, and race-week energy created a childhood where Formula One felt less like a distant dream and more like part of everyday life. Friends and family describe him as quiet, polite, and intensely competitive — the kind of kid who smiled often but hated losing.

Racing came through family. His father, Hervé Leclerc, raced himself and introduced Charles to karting early. Weekends quickly became kart tracks, long drives, and endless practice sessions. By his early teens, Charles was already turning heads across Europe.

His junior career became one of the strongest of his generation: GP3 champion in 2016, Formula 2 champion in 2017, then a rapid rise to Formula One with Ferrari’s academy backing him along the way.

Away from racing, Charles is also known for sharing moments with his beloved dog, Leo, who often appears in social media posts and gives fans a glimpse into his life beyond the track.

Today, Charles carries the pressure of an entire country every time Monaco race week arrives. But that connection is also what makes him special — he isn’t visiting Monaco for his home race. He’s driving through his neighborhood.
